Designed to hold tire as close to the rear as possible. Has 3in of adjustment to accommodate up to 12in wide tires. These mount on the holes for the rear bumper so they are not compatible with a rear bumper.

An easy install on my Maverick Trail in Aug. 2022. Nice stiff metal work, all holes line up, and all hardware needed provided. Just seems the logical place for a spare tire (like the WW2 Jeeps) for easy access when needed, keeps the center of gravity low, rear view not obstructed, and a rear bumper for a slow speed bump in the night. Doesn’t obstruct access to the cargo bed. Very pleased with this product.
